New Projects
I am currently working on prints from a trip to the Needles last October, 2015. And I am also making new prints of southeast Utah from films that have never seen the light of day since their first exposure. I backpacked there for 2-3 months every year in the last century, guiding wilderness trips for Outward Bound and exploring on my own, always with a camera. I finally organized my archives and have picked many of my favorites to show during Open Studios in October, and at my studio by appointment.
In February 2015, we explored the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in very southern California, in what is called the Colorado Desert, a part of the larger Sonoran Desert which extends across southwest North America. It is unlike other parts of the Southwest, and at first glance appears monochromatic and featureless, but as one gets deeper into it one discovers its uniqueness, which you can see HERE. It is the kind of place that grows on you.
